A Stage Manager for Mrs Claus’ List.
Blue Elephant Theatre is looking for a Stage Manager for its Christmas production, Mrs Claus’ List.
Blue Elephant Theatre’s in-house Christmas shows are a very special part of our year – they’re always well-attended and well-loved by local families and schools and we create them with our local communities in mind.
The Stage Manager’s Duties will include:
-Support sourcing and making props/stage dressing for the show
-Attend production meetings
-Attend rehearsals to become familiar with the show
-Supporting the get-in
-Operating sound and lights for the tech, dress rehearsal and shows
-Setting up pre-show, clearing up post-show and liaising with actors
-Managing the day-to-day needs of the show
-Sending show reports
(Please note that this list is not exhaustive and other duties may be added to it in consultation with the Stage Manager)
Desirable Skills & Experience:
-Experience of stage-managing and operating shows
-Experience of working in a fringe venue
-Experience of working on shows for children
-Prop-sourcing/making
-Basic knowledge or Qlab and EOS
Dates:
Rehearsal period: 25th – 29th Nov & 2nd - 3rd December (Not all days are necessary but we’d ask that you have good availability then.)
Get In: Wednesday 4th December
Tech & Dress Rehearsal: Thursday 5th December
Shows:
Friday 6th December: 10.45am & 1.30pm
Saturday 7th December: 11am & 2pm & 4.30pm
Sunday 8th December: 11am & 2pm
Monday 9th December: Day off
Tues 10th - Thurs 12th : 10.45am & 1.30pm
Friday 13th : Day Off
Saturday 14th : 4pm & 8pm (Gala Performance)
Sunday 15th : 2pm & 4.30pm
Mon 16th - Thurs 19th : 10.45am & 1.30pm
Friday 20th : Day Off
Saturday 21st: 11am & 2pm & 4.30pm
Sunday 22nd: 11am & 2pm
The get-out will be in the new year.
Fee: based on £573 per week
This contract is offered on a freelance basis.
