Blue Elephant Theatre Announcement

We sadly share the news that we will be surrendering our building back to Southwark Council just before Christmas. In the current climate and following funding cuts, this has become the only way to stabilise the organisation and continue some of our work. We are grateful for all the love and support we have received as a community and fringe venue, and for all the artists, audiences, participants, staff and freelancers who have joined us in this special building at 59a Bethwin Road.

Please help us continue our work like Young People's Theatre, early years projects and original family theatre shows, by supporting our Big Give Campaign which runs until December 9th. Donations will be doubled and so will have a larger impact! Donations can be made here.

We also do still have limited rehearsal space available to hire over the next month, which can be booked below or by emailing hires@blueelephanttheatre.co.uk.

Playing Up Workshops

Dates
Friday 14 February - Friday 9 May

Join us for Creative Play sessions at St Paul's Primary School!

These FREE sessions are for children aged 0 - 3 and their parents/carers.

Workshops start on Friday 14th February and will run until June. They can be delivered through Spanish as well as English. Expect lots of fun as you and your little one(s) act out scenarios and adventures which stimulate their imagination and develop their motor skills!

Please sign up here as spaces are limited! You are welcome to turn up on the day but may be turned away if there is no space so booking is advised.

Playing Up is funded by the Inspiring Elephant Community Fund and Unity Theatre Trust and spaces are intended for people who live, work or study in the Elephant & Castle Opportunity Area.

Session Times:
10am - 11am - 15 months/mobile babies - 3 years
11.30am - 12.30pm - 0 - 14 months

The final three sessions - on May 16th, May 25th and June 6th - will be at St Paul's Church of England Primary School, SE17 3DT. You do not need to go to the main entrance - there is a separate entrance via a side gate to the space we'll be using, near Pasley Park. We will have staff and signs to guide you.
