Blue Elephant Theatre Update

We are delighted to be delivering some drama sessions in person again and hosting some rehearsals, recordings and R&Ds. We work hard to keep our building and work Covid-secure so that risk to staff, artists, participants and any other users of our building is minimised.

We are also continuing to run programmes online and have just restarted our Writers Group virtually via Zoom. Our next session is on Tuesday November 3rd at 7pm. You can find out more here.

Our new Artist Network has just launched, a new resource for opportunities for emerging artists. More information here.

Blue Elephant Participants in Gareth Malone's All Star Choir!

Blue Elephant Theatre is proud to have a number of our young participants involved with Gareth Malone's All Star Choir, rubbing shoulders with well known celebrities to create the 2014 BBC Children In Need Single. Not only this but the participants were filmed for a two part documentary, which can be seen here

Participation: Introduction

The Blue Elephant Theatre has an extensive and imaginative education outreach programmeThe Stage

Welcome to Blue Elephant Theatre’s Participation and Community section. In this section of the site you will be able to find out about and see the exciting arts projects that we are delivering in Southwark.

We are beginning to offer face-to-face sessions for our participants again, in line with Government advice and with strict hygiene and social distancing measures in place. We are also continuing to offer digital activities, resources and support, some of which are available on our website under 'News'.

In Schools:
We are proud to work with our local primary schools where we have provided theatre workshops, end of term plays and professional touring theatre performances. Creative Minds reaches hundreds of young people each year. For more information, please visit the Creative Minds page.

Extra Curricular:
We provide ongoing youth theatre opportunities in our local area through Young People’s Theatre and with ReACT. For more information, please see their separate pages. We also have a variety of outreach projects across London, where we provide participation opportunities to many different young people.

Should you wish to know any more about the projects please do not hesitate to get in contact with me.
